Terms of Service

1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use LuckMate. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We may request proof of age at any time and may terminate accounts found to be underage.

2 Account Rules

You are responsible for all activity on your account. You must:

• Provide accurate, truthful information in your profile
• Use a real photo of yourself as your primary profile photo
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
• Not create multiple accounts
• Not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity

3 Community Guidelines

LuckMate is a platform for genuine human connection. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation of any kind
• Sharing sexual content without consent, including unsolicited explicit images
• Scamming, fraud, or soliciting money from other members
• Spam, commercial solicitation, or advertising services to members
• Sharing another member's personal information without consent
• Using LuckMate for prostitution or escort services
• Creating fake profiles or misrepresenting yourself
• Hate speech targeting any tribe, religion, gender, or group

4 Payments & Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and processed via Paystack or Flutterwave. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the selected plan amount.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• All payments are non-refundable except where required by Nigerian law
• Coins (LuckyCoins) are non-refundable once purchased
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice

5 Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant LuckMate a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use your content to operate the platform. You must not post content that is:

• Sexually explicit or pornographic
• Defamatory, illegal, or infringing on third-party rights
• Violence-promoting or hate-inducing
• Spam, malware, or fraudulent

6 Safety & Meetup Escrow

LuckMate provides a Meetup Escrow feature to encourage real-life dates. We are not responsible for what happens between members in person. Always meet in public places and tell someone where you are going. By using the Escrow feature, you agree to our escrow rules including the forfeiture policy for no-shows.

7 Disclaimers

LuckMate does not guarantee that you will find a romantic partner. We are not responsible for the behaviour of other members. All members interact at their own risk. We do not conduct criminal background checks.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, LuckMate's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days in accordance with NDPR.

10 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first be addressed through our support team. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
