Influencer and Creator Terms

These terms explain how creators take part in MyPerson campaigns, how campaign content may be used, and the rights and responsibilities of both creators and MyPerson.

Effective 02 September 2026 Version 1.0 Nigeria

To participate in the MyPerson Creator and Influencer Programme, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

Age requirement MyPerson does not permit minors to participate in paid or promotional creator campaigns. We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify eligibility.

2. Joining the Creator Programme

Joining the Creator Programme

Acceptance into the Creator Programme does not guarantee that you will receive campaign invitations, payments, prizes, brand partnerships or any minimum number of opportunities.

MyPerson may review creator profiles, audience information, content history, campaign performance and other relevant information when deciding whether to invite a creator to participate in a campaign.

MyPerson may accept, decline, pause or remove a creator from the programme where reasonably necessary for campaign quality, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or protection of the MyPerson brand.

3. Campaign Participation

Campaign Participation

Each MyPerson campaign may have its own campaign brief, deliverables, deadline, payment or reward structure, eligibility criteria, approval process and additional content usage terms.

Campaign-specific acceptance Where a campaign displays additional terms, rules or a campaign-specific content licence, those campaign-specific terms apply together with these Creator Terms. If there is a conflict, the campaign-specific terms apply only to the extent of that particular campaign.

4. Content Ownership and Your Authority

Content Ownership and Your Authority

Except where a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, you generally retain ownership of the copyright you hold in original content that you create. However, ownership of copyright does not prevent you from granting MyPerson a licence to use campaign content.

By submitting campaign content, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, licences and consents required for MyPerson to use the content in accordance with these Terms and the applicable campaign terms.

5. Campaign Content Licence

Campaign Content Licence

When you voluntarily submit, upload, deliver or otherwise provide content for a MyPerson campaign and the applicable campaign terms state that the content is licensed for campaign or advertising use, you grant MyPerson a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free commercial licence to use that campaign content for the purposes described in the campaign and these Terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and the relevant campaign terms, the licence may continue after the campaign ends, including for completed advertising campaigns, campaign archives, promotional materials and lawful reuse of campaign assets already created or scheduled.

Licence does not automatically transfer copyright ownership Unless a separate written agreement expressly assigns ownership, you retain the copyright you own in your original work. The licence gives MyPerson agreed commercial usage rights; it is not the same thing as MyPerson becoming the copyright owner.

Editing and adaptations

You authorise reasonable technical and promotional edits necessary to use campaign content, including cropping, trimming, resizing, subtitling, captioning, adding branding, combining clips, changing aspect ratios and creating shorter or longer promotional versions. MyPerson will not intentionally edit your content in a manner that is materially defamatory or knowingly misleading about you.

6. Payments, Rewards and Prizes

Payments, Rewards and Prizes

Campaign payment, reward or prize eligibility is determined by the specific campaign terms. A submission alone does not guarantee payment unless the campaign terms expressly provide otherwise.

If you have already been paid or received a reward for a campaign, that payment does not automatically give you the right to cancel content rights validly granted under the applicable campaign agreement.

7. Creator Standards and Prohibited Conduct

Creator Standards and Prohibited Conduct

MyPerson expects creators to participate honestly and professionally. The following may result in rejection of a campaign submission, loss of eligibility, suspension or removal from the Creator Programme.

8. Advertising, Dating Platform Claims and Disclosure

Advertising, Dating Platform Claims and Disclosure

MyPerson is a platform intended to support genuine human connection. When promoting MyPerson, creators must not make misleading promises or claims that have not been approved by MyPerson.

Creators remain responsible for complying with the rules of the social platforms on which they publish content, including applicable disclosure and advertising requirements.

9. Campaign Content Removal Requests

Campaign Content Removal Requests

MyPerson respects legitimate legal, privacy and safety concerns. If you believe campaign content should be removed or restricted, you may contact us and explain the reason for your request.

A removal request does not automatically cancel a completed licence Where campaign content was voluntarily submitted and validly licensed under the applicable campaign terms, a later request to remove the content does not by itself terminate rights already granted for completed or ongoing campaign use, subject to applicable law and any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This is particularly important where MyPerson has already spent money creating, publishing, boosting, distributing or scheduling advertisements using campaign content. We may review the request and consider the applicable campaign agreement, the reason for the request, legal requirements, safety concerns and the practical status of existing campaign materials.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a creator from exercising statutory rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Data protection rights and contractual content licence rights are treated separately.

10. Privacy, Consent and Data Protection

Privacy, Consent and Data Protection

MyPerson may process creator information needed to administer the Creator Programme, verify eligibility, operate campaigns, communicate with creators, process approved payments, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Our processing of personal data is explained further in our Privacy Policy. You should read the Privacy Policy together with these Creator Terms.

Data consent is different from a content licence Consent for optional personal data processing, such as marketing communications, is separate from contractual campaign terms and the commercial licence granted for campaign content. Withdrawing optional marketing consent does not automatically cancel contractual rights previously granted to use campaign content, subject to applicable law.

We may keep records showing when you accepted these Terms, including the terms version, acceptance date and time, and reasonable technical information used for security, fraud prevention and record keeping, subject to applicable data protection requirements.

11. Suspension, Leaving and Termination

Suspension, Leaving and Termination

You may stop participating in future campaigns at any time. MyPerson may suspend or terminate your participation in the Creator Programme where reasonably necessary, including for fraud, policy violations, misuse of campaigns or legal and safety reasons.

Ending your participation in the Creator Programme generally stops future campaign participation. However, termination does not automatically cancel licences, permissions, payment obligations, confidentiality obligations or other rights and responsibilities that were already validly created for completed or accepted campaigns.

Rights already granted may survive Where campaign content has been validly licensed and the licence allows continued use, those existing usage rights may continue after you leave the programme, subject to applicable law and the specific campaign terms.

12. Liability, Claims and Indemnity

Liability, Claims and Indemnity

You are responsible for content and information that you submit. If you knowingly or negligently provide content that you do not have the right to use, you may be responsible for losses or claims arising from your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MyPerson is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your participation in the Creator Programme, including loss of expected opportunities, audience growth or anticipated income.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where liability cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

13. Governing Law and Changes

Governing Law and Changes

These Creator Terms and campaign agreements are governed by the applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

If a dispute arises, we encourage creators to contact MyPerson first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter through our support process before formal legal proceedings.

We may update these Creator Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we may provide notice through the creator dashboard, email or another reasonable communication method. Continued participation in new campaigns after the updated terms take effect may require acceptance of the updated version.
