Your safety comes first. Read these tips before your first chat, and again before your first date.
Online safety
Never share your home address, workplace or daily routine with someone you just met. Keep chatting on MyPerson until you fully trust the person. Do not rush to WhatsApp. Search any photo you are unsure about with a reverse image search such as Google Images. Never send money to anyone on a dating platform. It is always a scam. Do not share bank details, card details, OTP codes or login passwords. Block and report anyone who asks for money, sends content you did not ask for, or makes you uncomfortable.
First date safety
Meet in a public place. Our verified Date Venues are a good choice. Tell a trusted friend where you are going, who you are meeting and when to expect you back. Arrange your own transport to and from the date. Keep your phone charged and your emergency contacts ready. Never leave your drink unattended. Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave. Your safety matters more than being polite.
Red flags to watch for
Asks for money, recharge cards or gifts, even small amounts. Refuses to video call, or always has an excuse. Photos look too professional, or like stock photos. Their story keeps changing: where they live, work or their past. Pushes you to leave the platform very quickly. Declares love within the first few days. Says they are abroad or travelling and wants to visit you or needs help with a fee.

Report anyone at any time. Our team reviews reports and can warn, suspend or ban accounts.

Photos are checked before they appear, and look-alike or duplicate accounts are flagged.
Private contact details
Your phone number and email are not shown on your profile. You choose when to share.
Your account, your control
Block anyone in two taps, freeze your account, or delete it whenever you want.
Report an incident
If something happened on or off MyPerson involving someone you met here, contact us straight away. Every report is handled with care and kept private.
